It is a joy to announce that H.E. Asanga Vajra Rinpoche, future lineage head of the Sakya tradition, and one of the best-prepared teachers of the new generation of Vajrayana lamas, will visit Casa Virupa this spring, on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14. His Eminence will give teachings on bodhichitta and the aspiration practice of Samantabhadra.
Bodhicitta refers to the awakened mind or the enlightened intention to achieve awakening for the sake of all sentient beings. It is a deep and compassionate aspiration to free all beings from suffering and guide them towards awakening, recognizing the interdependence between them all. Bodhichitta is fundamental to the path of the bodhisattva, who seeks enlightenment not only for himself, but for the benefit of all beings.
Samantabhadra's practice, on the other hand, is closely related to the ideal of the bodhisattva embodied by Samantabhadra, who is considered an example of the perfect practice of all Buddhist virtues, especially generosity, ethics, and dedication to the well-being of others. without attachment or limitations. Samantabhadra aspiration practice focuses on emulating these qualities through meditation, recitation, and performing acts of benevolence and compassion.
Both concepts, bodhichitta and the practice of Samantabhadra, highlight the importance of altruistic intention and compassionate action on the path to awakening, emphasizing the role of practitioners as agents of positive change in the world, working tirelessly for well-being. of all beings.

Biography of His Eminence Asanga Vajra Rinpoche
His Eminence Khondung Asanga Vajra Sakya Rinpoche is the son of H.E. Khondung Ani Vajra Sakya Rinpoche, the second son of the Phuntsok Phodrang and Dagmola Chimey la family. He is also the grandson of S.S. Dagchen Rinpoche and is therefore a direct descendant of the unbroken Khon lineage dating back to 1073.
Asanga Rinpoche trained at Tharlam Monastery. At the age of twelve, Asanga Vajra Rinpoche took the Vajrakilya Puja exam and led the congregation of lamas at the Sakya Center in Rajpur, India, making him the youngest to successfully pass this complex, rigorous and religious ritual. extensive who leads the meeting.
